  1. How many hours of sunlight do you think you get in your backyard? I am trying to decide where to put my (future) raised beds, but need to figure out just how much sun they will really need…

      I’ve been told that the general rule of thumb is at least 6 hours for vegetables. When the leaves are on the trees we’ll get about 3 hours of full morning sun, another 3 of partial sun, and then in the afternoon another 3 or 4 of full sun. I’ve also read that you will still have vegetables with less than 6 hours, you may just not get the same yield or size.
